You will be reading fiction, poetry and drama, across a range of genres which explore issues of gender, class, race, nation, belonging, and exile.


      Children’s literature is a distinct stream which relates at a number of points to literary studies. You will be reading many of the classics as well as newer authors, who write for children.       Believe it or not, ice cream is more than just a sweet and delicious treat – it’s actually quite complex. It should be solid, yet soft and should stay that way while melting slowly. And if you’ve ever tried to make it at home, you’ll realise it’s not as simple as just putting cream in the freezer. The reasons for the delicate nature of ice cream is ultimately a matter of chemistry! In fact, the concept of molecular gastronomy has become quite popular in recent years (just ask Heston Blumenthal). Visit us to find about more about the science behind ice cream.

    • Zoology and animal science

      Available at Melbourne Burwood @ 1:00pm and Geelong Waurn Ponds @ 11:00am

      This course is targeted towards students with an interest in animal biology. This course will explore animal diversity, ecology and behaviour, comparative physiology, biochemistry, genetics, evolutionary biology and animal nutrition. The course offers a significant field-based component allowing students to gain hands-on experience in these study areas using native Australian fauna and ecosystems.
